Torquay and the English Riviera
One of England's most popular and beautiful seaside resorts

Torquay was voted number 1 seaside destination in England on Trip Advisor in 2015!

Torquay is known as the ‘The English Riviera’, famous for its beaches, palm trees and warm climate. It has been popular with tourists for 200 years and was recently voted England's number one seaside resort.

Each year we receive over 3 million tourists, who travel to Torquay to enjoy the award-winning beaches and warm climate, as well as the wide range of attractions and days out and the stunning coastal scenery. The town combines a relaxed holiday atmosphere with a long list of year-round events and attractions to keep visitors entertained. We have more attractions than any other seaside resort in the UK, numerous exciting events throughout the year and plenty of opportunities for sports, particularly water sports.

Torquay is a perfect example of a traditional English seaside town and is the perfect place to experience British culture and learn English.
